Comments: This cover is a good example of what happens when an author has an interesting concept in mind for the cover, but doesn’t have the skill to execute it themselves. The skull in the smoke is a nice idea, but the size and placement make it tough to read. The “smoke-like” typography is also a good idea, but is not laid out professionally. Overall the cover doesn’t have much of an impact — especially at a thumbnail size.
